We are light gatherers
A new race that makes a little pursuit

Call knowledge a race against the clock.
We hunt fire flies to plant in our brains

We take apart conjectures on black boards
And we fill jig saw puzzles calling them theories

We are a solar system centered around a brain
Around which planetary thoughts, maybe even genius, orbit

And we call intelligence brightness
Inculcating knowledge, enlightenment

And a little ailing brain with Alzheimer’s
A pot full of wisdom.
